Finance Masters DegreeTwo milestone surveys, the Certified Financial Planners Survey of Trends in Financial Planning and the International Association for Financial Planners Survey of Financial Advisors, showed that a third of financial advisors questioned had an MBA or other equivalent master's-level graduate degree, such as a Masters in Finance. A more recent survey conducted by research professors in the Departments of Finance of major American universities, in cooperation with the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education, revealed that 45% of all consumers surveyed preferred to retain a financial planner with a master's degree. Survey respondents aged 56 to 65 placed an even stronger emphasis on graduate level education, with 63% stating their preference for financial planners who have earned an MBA or equivalent master's degree.
